STILLS FROM A NARRATIVE by Bryan Dawe
an exhibition located in and inspired by Tangier, Morocco March 2023
From Port to port
Born amidst the grim educational pickings of working class Port Adelaide in the 1960s, Bryan escaped from high school at 15 and went on to become one of Australia’s finest satirists, humorists, and accomplished digital artists. Having survived two years of covid lockdown in Phillip Island, Bryan departed Australia in search of new inspiration. Once again he has found it in his new home of Tangier, not suprisingly, another port city.
Bryan’s significant achievements and his journey, have resembled the comment of Bryan’s hero: the late Spike Milligan, who said of his life “I have nothing organised, so nothing can go wrong”
Further adopting this philosophy, Bryan launched his second exhibition “Stills from a Narrative” in Tangier, Morocco, on March 21st, 2023 and for the first time, this collection is being simultaneously exhibited here.
